Interlochen has begun!
The land of the stately pine has offered me a summer job as a camp counselor for 6 weeks! I was super excited when I got the position, and I am super happy to meet all of my campers!
This week is training week for camp life staff. This means that we get up early, eat breakfast at Stone dining hall, and sing campy songs like “Brown Squirrel” and “Little Cabin in the Woods.” Jennifer Wesling (aka J-Wes) is the Dean of Interlochen Summer Arts Camp, and she is one of the coolest people I’ve met so far! She has the campiest spirit out of all of the Camp Life Staff.
This is week will be a lot of hard work going through all of the training processes, but it will be worth it once the kiddos arrive next week!
