I want to linger a little longer...

Ah, the end of camp. I knew it was coming, but why did it have to come so fast?

The second session of campers I had were awesome and I wouldn't trade the world for them! it is a shame that it's time for me to say goodbye to Interlochen as well. My time here was well spent with people that I genuinely enjoy, and I hope that the end of this summer does not mean the end of these friendships.
Getting to know my colleagues has been one of the greatest joys I have experienced here. There's something about being surrounded by nature and good people that really brings peace of mind! I will miss my joint practice sessions with my co-counselor Bella, my secondary job at the Craft Cabana, and all of my time spent with the residents of Cabin 21.
This place has become my home so quickly, and I don't want to part with it just yet. Sometimes you have to move on. Good things can't last forever, but the memories you have of it will give you a lifetime of joy. I remember so many things that would never have imagined doing. The Polar Plunge, banana boats, rock painting, roasting marshmallows, and so much more. One of my closest friends is my co-counselor, and I don't think I'm ready to live away from her! Bella and I have been a great team, and great mentors to these campers that have lived with us.
Interlochen, consider my parting not as a goodbye, but as a see you later.
